How does a magnetic mortice lock work?

Instead of a sprung metal latch, a magnet draws the bolt across as the door closes, so it latches silently with no clatter. AGB Polaris and Revolution XT models come in sash, bathroom and euro versions.

What backset do I need?

Magnetic mortice locks are sold by backset, commonly 35mm, 50mm or 60mm. Match the backset to your handle position and door stile width.

What is an electromagnetic maglock?

A maglock uses an electromagnet and armature plate to hold a door shut, released by an access control system. Holding force is rated in kilograms or pounds — higher figures suit heavier or higher-security doors.
