What is a fan isolator switch?

A fan isolator is a switch, usually 3-pole, that fully disconnects an extractor fan from the mains so it can be serviced or cleaned safely.

Why do I need one?

A means of isolation is recommended for bathroom and kitchen extractor fans, allowing the fan to be switched off completely for maintenance.

What finishes are available?

Choose from antique brass, matt white, stainless steel and more, so the isolator can match the other switches in the room.

Where is it usually fitted?

Fan isolators are typically mounted outside the bathroom or near the fan, out of reach of water. Positioning should follow UK wiring regulations.
