Tubular deadbolt buying guide

What is a tubular deadbolt?

It is a small mortice bolt worked by a key or turn, throwing a solid bolt into the frame. Unlike a latch it has no sprung tongue, so it simply locks and unlocks.

What size do I need?

Deadbolts come in case lengths such as 2.5", 3" and 4". Match the backset to your latch so the keyholes line up neatly on the door face.

What does bolt-through mean?

Bolt-through fixing passes screws right through the case for extra strength, which suits heavier use and fire-door applications.
