A classic Victorian-style lever: straight and flat, with a gentle curve back towards the door at the end so your hand doesn’t slip off. It sits on a neat rectangular 114 x 40mm backplate with a small turn that locks the handle, giving simple privacy for bedrooms, bathrooms and en-suites.

On a privacy set, the turn locks the handle itself. On a bathroom set, the turn throws a deadbolt in a separate bathroom lock. Privacy handles are simpler to fit and work with a standard tubular latch.

A standard tubular latch, not a bathroom lock. Our fire rated tubular latch is a good match.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
Yes, many people use privacy handles on bathrooms, en-suites and bedrooms. If you’d prefer a separate deadbolt with an emergency release, choose a bathroom set and bathroom lock instead.
