Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between privacy and bathroom handles?
On a privacy set, the turn locks the handle itself. On a bathroom set, the turn throws a deadbolt in a separate bathroom lock. Privacy handles are simpler to fit and work with a standard tubular latch.

What latch do I need?
A standard tubular latch, not a bathroom lock. Our fire rated tubular latch is a good match.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?
Yes, many people use privacy handles on bathrooms, en-suites and bedrooms. If you’d prefer a separate deadbolt with an emergency release, choose a bathroom set and bathroom lock instead.

Is the spindle included?
Yes, each pair comes with a 100mm steel spindle and wood screws, which suits most standard internal doors.
