Should I choose a floor or wall door stop?
Use a floor mounted stop when the door opens onto a radiator, cupboard or glass, or when there is no solid wall in the right place. If the handle would hit a plain wall, a wall mounted door stop is often simpler to fit.
Where should I position it?
Place the stop on the floor about two-thirds of the way out from the hinge side of the door. This avoids strain on the hinges and stops the handle before it reaches the wall.
Can it be fitted to a tiled or concrete floor?
Yes, with a suitable drill bit and plugs for that floor type. Check the supplied fixings suit your floor before fitting.
How many do I need?
One per door. If you’re fitting a whole house, count every door that opens towards a wall, radiator or piece of furniture.
