Black Walnut Switches & Sockets
Swap plastic or metal plates for real wood. These switches and sockets have solid black walnut faceplates with a smooth satin finish, so the natural grain becomes a warm detail on every wall. They suit modern, classic and transitional interiors, and look especially good alongside brass or black door handles.
Choose from toggle switches, intermediate switches, dimmers, single and double plug sockets and a fan isolator, all in the same walnut finish. Matching 25mm and 35mm back boxes are also available.

Frequently asked questions
What back box depth do I need?
Toggle switches, intermediate switches, sockets and the fan isolator fit a 25mm back box. The single and double dimmers need a 35mm back box. Matching back boxes are available as options above.
Are the dimmers 1 way or 2 way?
The 1 gang and 2 gang dimmers are 1 way, so they control a light from one position only. If your light is also switched from a second place (for example top and bottom of the stairs), use a 2 way toggle switch instead, or ask us before ordering.
Can I fit them on a freshly plastered wall?
No. Fit the faceplates only once the wall is fully dry. Avoid freshly plastered, painted or damp walls.
Do I need an electrician?
Yes. Electrical work must meet UK Building Regulations (Part P) and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
