The ABUS 83 Series supplied without cylinder represents the highest tier of the ABUS padlock range, delivering uncompromising security performance at CEN Grade 4, 5, and 6 (Security Rating Level 10) across all variants, purpose-built for the protection of high-security sites, critical national infrastructure, and high-value assets. Built from hardened special steel with NANO PROTECT™ coating for exceptional resistance to harsh conditions, this range is engineered to defeat the most advanced physical attack methods while accommodating a choice of ABUS patented, registered high-security cylinder and key systems selected and supplied to the end user.

Designed with a double bolted locking mechanism, cylinder protection against drilling, bumping, and pulling, and an optional cylinder protection cap against moisture and dust, the 83 Series without cylinder provides a robust, adaptable security platform for the most demanding applications. Compatible LPCB approved cylinder options include the ABUS Bravus, Vitess, and Zolit systems, allowing the end user to specify the appropriate patented key system for their installation. Available in standard open shackle, closed shackle, and sliding bolt variants — including the substantial 93RK monoblock models — and with removable shackle options on selected variants, the range covers gates, barriers, doors, containers, and high-security perimeter fencing across critical national infrastructure and commercial environments.
