Lever latch handles operate a sprung tubular latch on internal doors that don't need locking, such as living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. Browse levers on roses and backplates in every finish, from period to contemporary. Pair them with a tubular latch or, if you need locking, our lever lock handles.

Lever latch handle buying guide

What is a latch handle?

A latch (or passage) handle is a plain lever with no keyhole. Pressing the lever withdraws the tubular latch so the door opens; a spring returns it to hold the door shut.

Rose or backplate?

Rose handles sit on a small round or square plate for a clean, modern look, while backplate handles run the full length for a traditional feel. Both fit a standard 8mm spindle.

Do latch handles need springs?

Heavier levers benefit from a sprung rose to return the handle level. Check the product details for the spring rating so the lever doesn't droop.
