Rim Knobs

Rim Knobs are door knobs that are used on rim locks and they are either made as a rim set or made so they can be fitted as a rim set. This type of door furniture is sold in sets and one knob will usually have a backing rose for the non-lock side and the other will have no rose for fitting on the lock side. Rim knobs are often associated with traditionally styled interiors such as cottages, farm houses, country pads and other listed buildings, where they act as decorative door furniture, as well as a functional door mechanism.

For a great choice of rim knobs, take a look at our range here. The master craftsmen at Kirkpatrick lead the way with their beautiful reproduction rim knobs from centuries past. These look stunning when fitted to ledged and braced doors, especially those with matching black antique hinges and door studs. There are also a number of contemporary rim knob options for those who would like to use this style of door furniture in a modern interior.
